Many of us hear this all of the time... "If we have good content on our blogs then that will give us great credibility with all of our readers", you know what?

That is absolutely true. If we can provide our readers with unique content, something that they are not going to be able to find at the drop of a hat on the internet; that will then bring those readers back and maybe even bring in more. However, here's the thing... We are always told that we need great content; however we were never told how to write great content. So why don't we take a look at what we have to do to create great content.

When we are writing content for our sites we should be making sure that what we are writing has a purpose. The purpose of your post might be to educate, inform, entertain, assist or even inspire. The reason being is that you can't expect to write a post that has no purpose! You cannot expect to write posts that are really about nothing or just full of fluff and expect readers to stick with you. Another thing when you are writing the content for your post, watch your grammar and spelling. If you want to have a good post make sure you follow the rules of the language and make sure the post is easy to read.

Okay so we're doing pretty well right now. Hopefully you are all still with me. Let's move on though, shall we? Alright, here's another tip for you, keep in mind that if you are unable to create something that your readers can relate too they are not going to want to read it. No matter what type of topic we may have chosen! We want to try and make sure that we are bringing out fresh information to our readers. There are always ways to make our posts new and exciting. One last thing...There is nothing wrong with having a post here and there that is going to create some discussion. Now you don't want something that is going to create an all out war, however having a post that is going to be a little controversial once and awhile that will push your readers is okay. In the end, they might even thank you for it.
